Phenolic Paper Laminated Tube PFCP22 is a specific grade defined according to the International Electrotechnical Commission standard (IEC 61212). In terms of material performance, it corresponds to the traditional Chinese standard Type 3520.
Compared with PFCP21, which is mainly used for low-voltage applications and general mechanical components, PFCP22 is specifically designed for “high-voltage electrical insulation in oil-immersed environments.” It demonstrates excellent dielectric strength and outstanding resistance to breakdown voltage when operating in transformer oil at 90°C.

Its main application areas include:
PFCP22 is specially developed for long-term operation under high-temperature and high-voltage conditions inside oil-immersed transformers.
Used as the inner winding support and insulation structure for high-voltage coils. It withstands the mechanical tension generated during copper wire winding while ensuring reliable insulation between winding layers.
Used as insulating sleeves for transformer internal leads and outgoing terminals, preventing high-voltage discharge between conductors and the transformer enclosure.
Used inside oil-immersed transformers to form cooling oil channels. It provides both mechanical support and electrical insulation functions, ensuring efficient heat dissipation and safe operation.
In both dry and oil-immersed environments, PFCP22 can withstand high operating voltages and allows precision machining for complex electrical components.
Used in high-voltage circuit breakers and disconnect switches as mechanical operating links. It provides excellent mechanical strength while completely isolating high voltage.
Used in switchgear and distribution cabinets to insulate and separate busbars between different phases, improving electrical safety and insulation reliability.
Applied in transformer tap changers as key electrical insulation and mechanical transmission components.
Installed around rotating shafts in motors and generators to prevent shaft current leakage and protect bearings from electrical erosion.
Used inside generators as fixing and insulating support components for carbon brushes, armatures, and other high-voltage electrical parts.
Used as electrical isolation supports and structural insulation parts inside high-power inverters, converters, and industrial power supplies.
Used as insulation bobbins and supports for high-frequency inductors and transformers in large broadcasting systems and radio transmission equipment.
PFCP22 (IEC 61212 / Chinese Grade 3520) is a high-performance phenolic paper laminated tube designed for high-voltage, oil-immersed electrical applications. With excellent dielectric strength, mechanical stability, and oil resistance, it is widely used in oil-immersed transformers, switchgear, motors, generators, and high-power electrical equipment where reliable insulation performance is required.
