G11 Glass Epoxy Laminate Sheet is a high-performance thermoset composite material manufactured by hot-pressing electronic-grade alkali-free fiberglass cloth impregnated with high-molecular-weight, heat-resistant epoxy resin. It serves as the premium, high-temperature upgraded version of standard G10/FR4.

Exceptional Thermal Performance: This is the most defining characteristic of G11. At elevated temperatures of 150°C (and up to 180°C for specific grades), it retains over 50% of its room-temperature flexural strength.
High Mechanical Strength: It exhibits outstanding tensile, flexural, impact, and shear strength. It offers excellent dimensional stability and high creep resistance under heavy mechanical loads.
Superior Electrical Properties: It maintains extremely high insulation resistance, dielectric strength (withstanding high voltages from 20KV to 100KV), and excellent arc resistance under both dry and humid conditions.
Very Low Water Absorption: With a water absorption rate typically ≤ 0.2%, the material retains its precise physical and electrical properties even in high-moisture environments.
Flame Retardancy (G11 vs. FR5): Standard G11 is not inherently flame-retardant. If your project demands a strict flame rating (such as UL 94 V-0), you should opt for its flame-retardant counterpart, FR5.
Appearance: Its natural color ranges from light yellowish-green to yellow or amber.
Because G11 simultaneously delivers dual benefits as both a structural component and an electrical insulator under thermal stress, it is widely used in high-precision, heavy-duty sectors:
Power Generation & Heavy Electrical Equipment
Large Generators & Electric Motors: Used for slot wedges, slot liners, variable-frequency motor insulation, rotor insulation, and end-winding supports.
Transformer Systems: Used for insulation barriers, spacer strips, and coil support structures in high- and low-voltage transformers.
High-Voltage Switchgears: Used for arc-chutes, phase barriers, phase-to-phase insulation plates, and circuit breaker structural parts.

New Energy & Battery Systems
Lithium Battery Packs (EV & Energy Storage): Utilized as cell insulation barriers, end plates, and insulation cushions within Power Distribution Units (PDUs) to prevent thermal runaway and high-voltage breakdown.

Electronics, Semiconductors & Testing Fixtures
Prcision Test Fixtures: Serves as the baseboard for ICT and FCT test fixtures, as well as semiconductor burn-in boards, leveraging its exceptional dimensional stability at high temperatures.
High-Frequency Terminal Boards: Used for high-performance terminal blocks and insulating structural parts in telecommunication equipment.

High-Temperature & Chemical Machinery
Thermal Insulation Gaskets: Used as high-temperature heat insulation plates in mold hot presses and vulcanizing machines.
Corrosion-Resistant Structural Parts: Applied as supporting components in chemical processing equipment that require simultaneous resistance to mechanical fatigue, high temperatures, and mild acid/alkali exposure.
